The City of Sarnia is pleased to celebrate Earth Day by announcing the winners of the Go Green Awards. The Go Green Awards were introduced by the Sarnia Environmental Advisory Committee and approved by Sarnia City Council to be repeated annually.
The purpose of the Go Green Awards is to promote environmental stewardship within our City and to recognize and celebrate the successes of individuals and groups that make a positive contribution to the improvement of the environment within our City.
Winners were selected in six categories and will receive special recognition at the beginning of the regular meeting of Council on Monday, May 1, 2017 starting at 4:00 p.m. A reception for the winners will precede the Council Meeting at 3:00 p.m. in the main lobby of City Hall.
In addition, all nominees will be invited by Green Drinks to present their accomplishments at the regular monthly gathering located at 100 Christina Street North, at 6:30 p.m. on May 10, 2017.

Eco-warrior – Ed Brost
Community Stewardship – One Tomato Environmental Education Inc.
Sarnia’s Greenest Classroom – St. Matthew’s School – Ms. Nicolai’s Grade 6 Class
Youth or Youth Group – Team Northern, Northern Collegiate Institute & Vocational School
