Kiwanis Kids Day At The Farm

The Seaway Kiwanis Club of Sarnia invites children of all ages to enjoy the Kiwanis Free Kids Day at the Farm from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8 at the Kiwanis Children’s Animal Farm in Canatara Park. “The event is entirely free and includes face painting, a BMX track, inflatable bouncy climbers, games, ice cream, cookies, hot dogs, the Kiwanis Choo Choo, and musical entertainment,” explains event Chairperson, Ken Stothers. The Seaway Kiwanis Club of Sarnia is pleased to be able to provide this free event, funded through its Cogeco TV Bingo proceeds and sponsors including Sarnia Construction Association, Bluewater Power, Steeves & Rosema Group, and BDO Dunwoody. Three free buses will run on a continuous shuttle service to/from the Kiwanis Children’s Animal Farm from 10:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. with ongoing stops at High Park School, Food Basics, P.E. McGibbon School, and Tecumseh Park. Sarnia Fire Rescue Services and Sarnia Police Service will attend the event with safety displays for children to interact with. The Sarnia & District Humane Society will present educational farm activities for children. Several other local vendors will be in attendance. Best Buy will feature drones and an electronic gaming tent at the event. The Bicycle Shop will be giving out free bells for bikes and host activities on the BMX track. Parents are reminded children must wear helmets.
