City Responds To Accessibility Concerns at New Suncor Agora

In response to a number of inquiries about accessibility at the new Suncor Agora, the City is confirming the building will be compliant for accessibility as required under the Ontario Building Code upon completion.
The Suncor Agora plans approved (attached) illustrate washrooms, door operators, call signals, ramps, and adult size change tables. The back area around the Agora (including the washrooms) is still a construction site. The accessible ramp has not been constructed yet but is planned to be shortly.
The Suncor Agora is part of the newly remediated Centennial Park which integrated many accessible features including accessible paths, garden, children’s playground, picnic tables, benches. The park is very accessible and even includes a charge station which enables mobility devices to charge for free.
