First Wanted Person Arrested for Northgate Pharmacy Robbery


On August 22, 2017, just prior to 4:00 pm, an armed robbery took place at the Northgate Pharmacy located in the 500 block of Exmouth Street, in the City of Sarnia. A male party wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and wielding a large knife demanded Fentanyl and cash. The suspect fled from the business in a smaller black pick-up. The vehicle was later recovered in the 900 block of Colborne Road.

As the investigation evolved a search warrant was executed by the Sarnia Police Service in the early morning hours of August 24, 2017.

As a result of the search warrant, a 37 year old female, Erica Leigh Nelson was arrested and charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl) for the purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Dilaudid), Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.00 and two counts of Breach of Probation.

On August 31, 2017, at approximately 2:30 pm Joshua William Gray, 36 years of age, was arrested in London, Ontario, by the ROPE (Repeat Offenders Parole Enforcement) Squad on the outstanding warrants from Sarnia for the robbery. That same afternoon members of the Sarnia Police Service attended London to continue the arrest and transport Gray back to Sarnia.

Gray is currently in custody and will be attending court on this date for his bail hearing.

Norman Leroy Jackson, 41 years of age, is still wanted for:

  1. Accessory after the fact to commit an indictable offence (Robbery)

  2. Possession of Schedule Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl)

  3. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.00

  4. For Breaching his Probation Order and Recognizance.

The Sarnia Police Service urges the public to treat this individual as possibly armed and dangerous.
