A NOTE TO STING FANS PURCHASING TICKETS FOR FRIDAY NIGHTS’ GAME

As the Progressive Auto Sales Arena, home of the Sarnia Sting, shares property with Lambton College, fans may be curious to how the OPSEU work stoppage and subsequent picketing outside college property may affect patrons looking to purchase tickets for Friday night’s showdown. The Sarnia Sting have met with leaders of the Union of Ontario Public Sector Employees (OPSEU) Local 125 representing local faculty at Lambton College and have been assured that the union has no intention of holding up fans looking to purchase tickets for the Sting game Friday. The goal of the union is to make the community aware of the issues they are dealing with and not to cause disruption to patrons using the arena. As a showing of good faith and support to the community, members of OPSEU local 125 will cease picketing outside the arena at 3 pm on Friday to allow for easy access to fans looking to purchase tickets as well as ensure steady flow of traffic entering the property around game time. The Sarna Sting would like to thank members of OPSEU local 125 for their cooperation and consideration to our fans. As an organization we ask all our fans, as well as other rink users to please respect the union’s right to strike and practice patience when entering the arena to ensure the safety of everyone involved. Fans are reminded they can also purchase tickets over the phone by calling 519 541 1717, visit our Lambton Mall Satellite Box office or stop in at sarniasting.com
