Sting Sign Ashton Reesor

The Sarnia Sting Hockey Club have signed 01’ Defenseman Ashton Reesor to an Ontario Hockey League Standard Player Agreement Released: Friday, December 8, 2017 General Manager Nick Sinclair announced yesterday that the Sarnia Sting Hockey Club has received a commitment from 2017 fifth round pick Ashton Reesor. He is the sixth player from this past draft to make a commitment to the Sting. The 6.03” 180 lbs. defenseman was selected out of the Vaughn Kings AAA system of the GTHL, where he served his team as an Assistant Captain. Reesor is currently playing for the Stouffville Spirit of OJHL contributing 9 points in 29 games played. Sinclair comments on the announcement “Ashton is a player we were very excited to have selected this past April and has continued to make impressive strides in his development. He is a big two-way defenseman who has had a very strong start to the season with his team, playing a key role on the blueline for his club as a rookie defender. We look forward to continuing to monitor Ashton as he heads into the second half of the year with Stouffville.”
