Sarnia Drug Bust


Members of the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit entered into a drug investigation that was believed to involve the trafficking of methamphetamine and other controlled substances in the City of Sarnia.

On January 9, 2018, a warrant was requested and granted to search a residence in the 800 block of London Road in the City of Sarnia. At approximately 7:30 pm on January 9, 2018, officers from the Vice Unit and General Patrol made entry into the residence locating the male and female residents along with a male guest.

As officers searched the home they located 5 and a half, 100 mcg, Fentanyl patches with a street value of $4400.00, along with other quantities of heroin, methamphetamine and Suboxone. The total street value of the drugs is approximately $4,891.00. Also located was $4425.00 in Canadian currency. Officers also located a Taser which is a prohibited weapon.

The residents, a 29 year old female and a 29 year old male, were both arrested and charged with four counts of possession of a scheduled I substance for the purpose of trafficking. The 29 year old male was also charged with possession of a prohibited device (Taser). Both were held for a bail hearing later on this date.

The 34 year old man, that was a guest, was found to have in his possession a small quantity of marijuana was released that same evening on a Promise to Appear.
