Michelle Parks seeking a seat on Sarnia City Council

This release is to let you know that I will not be seeking re-election for Trustee with the St. Clair Catholic School Board; however, I will be seeking a spot as a Sarnia City Councilor.
Over the past four years I have been very vocal about issues that are affecting our community and I have never been one to criticize without doing something to create change, for that reason I feel now is the time to run for Sarnia City Council.
I cannot begin to stress how much I have learned and enjoyed the past twelve years as a Catholic School Trustee and how much I will miss my colleagues there. I will continue to advocate for Catholic Education and the St. Clair Catholic District School Board and I wanted to ensure that someone would be running in my place that is as passionate about Catholic Education, Special Education and Mental Health as I am. I am happy to announce that my long-time friend Jennifer McCann will be running for the trustee position.
My twelve-years of experience as a trustee and having served the past four years as the boards Vice-Chair has provided me the Board Governance Experience needed to sit on Council. Having business management experience and experience dealing with a multi-million-dollar budget as well as a background in the hospitality and tourism industry will only strengthen what is needed on this council.
