Thanks to a Witness Two Arrested Immediately

On July 27, 2018, shortly before 9:30 am, two suspects were observed by a chain link fence adjacent to a demolition site located on the property by Lambton College. The witness observed the suspects removing large bags loaded with cut pipes in them and the suspects proceeded to hide the bags in the bushes near the property. The witness contacted the police who attended and after a brief foot chase onto Humber Drive were able to arrest the two men involved without incident. A 38 year old man from Sarnia has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 and a 36 year old man from Sarnia has been charged with breach of probation, break and enter, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000. Both suspects are being held for a bail hearing. The Sarnia Police Service would also like to remind the public that reporting incidents like this immediately help the police do their job effectively and in turn ensure a safer community. Thank you!
