Drug Arrest


The month of November has been a busy month for the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit. Vice officers began another investigation related to an individual trafficking large quantities of cocaine within the City of Sarnia. On November 28, 2018, Vice officers were conducting surveillance on the suspect in this matter. The suspect was observed conducting a drug transaction at a local shopping centre on London Road in the city of Sarnia. Due to this drug transaction the male suspect and a female were both arrested shortly after 4:00 pm for the trafficking of drugs. At this time, approximately 15.5 grams of cocaine was located on the male suspect packaged to be sold off to individuals. Subsequent to this arrest a warrant was requested and granted to search the residence of the male suspect. The residence is located at an apartment in the 1100 block of Afton Drive. The warrant was executed at approximately 10:30 pm and a search of the residence located approximately 121.5 grams of cocaine. Therefore the total amount of cocaine seized was approximately 137 grams (4.8 ounces). The street value of the drugs seized was approximately $16,600.00. The male accused in this matter is 41 year old Shawn Patrick Roy and the female is 34 year old Darlene Dawn Nordahl. Roy faces charges for Trafficking a Schedule 1 Substance and Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of trafficking. Nordahl faces charges for Trafficking a Schedule 1 Substance and Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance.
