SARNIA, May 31, 2019 – The Lambton College Foundation is celebrating record-breaking success following the 3rd Annual President’s Gala, which took place in May. The formal event, featuring special guest Peter Mansbridge, raised $90,000 towards the Envision Tomorrow Capital Campaign. Over 230 community partners and supporters of Lambton College filled the Lambton College Event Centre for an entertaining evening that featured longtime former CBC host of The National, Peter Mansbridge, as keynote speaker. Tickets for the much anticipated event sold out quickly as word of the evening’s special guest spread. Co-Presenting Sponsors were the families of Barry and Erika Hogan and Barry and Diane Vosburg with additional sponsorship from Anderson Webb Limited, NOVA Chemicals, Kel-Gor Limited , TD Insurance and The Lambton College Alumni along with various other corporate and community table sponsorships. Festivities included a multi-course, gourmet dinner prepared by Lambton College Culinary Management students under the guidance of Red Seal Chef and Lambton College Coordinator of Culinary Management, Alastair McKay and Culinary Management Professor and Chef Michael Mansfield. Guests were entertained during dinner to jazz stylings of Trio. The event also featured a live and silent auction and a jewellery raffle sponsored by Nash Jewellers. Launched by the Foundation in June 2015, the Capital Campaign supports the College’s multi-million dollar campus renewal project that will transform the student learning and recreational experience with the recent construction of two new buildings: the NOVA Chemicals Health & Research Centre and the Athletics & Fitness Complex.
