Three Arrested in Drug Bust

On June 25, 2019, members of the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit requested a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant for an address located in the 100 block of Mitton Street South, in the City of Sarnia. On the same date, at approximately 9:45 pm, Vice officers made entry into the residence and during the entry process individuals began fleeing out a window. An occupant of the home was located inside the house and was taken into custody. Fortunately, officers were also able to arrest a male and female who fled from the home and were located a short distance away. Officers were able to seize a small quantity of purple powered Fentanyl along with other drug paraphernalia. The three individuals that were arrested were held for bail for the following charges: 1) Keith Grootenboer, 30 years of age, of Sarnia, for possession of a Schedule I Substance (Opioid) and was also wanted on two outstanding warrants. 2) Trisha Michelle Denomy, 41 years of age, of Sarnia, for possession of a Schedule I Substance (Opioid) 3) Jason Carroll McGregor, 38 years of age, of Sarnia, for possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking(Opioid) and fail to comply with a recognizance.
