Lambton College Students to Host 5th Annual Day Camp for Individuals with Disabilities

SARNIA, July 9, 2019 – Students enrolled in Lambton College’s Developmental Services Worker (DSW) program are pleased to be hosting their 5th annual summer day camp for individuals with developmental disabilities. The free day camp, called Camp2CONNECT, will take place on Friday, August 9 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and is open to all age groups including Sarnia-Lambton’s aging population. The camp will once again take place at Lambton College and guests of the event can expect to participate in a variety of accessible activities for all ages such as water balloon badminton, pool noodle javelin, flamingo golfing, face painting, arts and crafts, and other sensory activities. Camp activities will be led by students currently enrolled in the DSW program. The camp day is free for all attendees and participants must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or support staff for the duration of the day. Campers are required to bring their own lunches, drinks and snacks for the day. Pre-registration is required for this event and all campers must have a signed consent form from a parent or legal guardian in order to attend.
