Warrant Executed at the “Reefinery Dispensary”


As part of ongoing efforts to deal with illegal cannabis dispensaries the Sarnia Police Service, in conjunction with the Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team (PJFCET), were granted a section 87 search warrant under the Cannabis Act for a property in the 1600 block of St. Clair Parkway, to search a trailer which is the location of the Reefinery Dispensary. At approximately 11:40 am, July,30, 2019, members of the Sarnia Police Service and the PJFCET attended the address and executed the warrant. Three men were taken into custody and arrested in regards to the warrant. As a result of the search officers located a large quantity of cannabis related items such as dried cannabis, “honey oil”, hashish, cannabis oil, vape pens refills, “shatter”, and cannabis edibles. The value of the drugs seize is estimated to be approximately $143,000. Also seized was $3,195 in currency. A 59 year old male, from Sarnia, was charged with possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling under the Cannabis Act, and released on a promise to appear. A 39 year old male and a 41 year old male, both from Sarnia, were also charged with possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling under the Cannabis Act. The 39 old male faces the additional charge of failing to comply with his recognizance. Both of these men were held for a bail hearing later today.
