$28,000 in Fentanyl Seized


Sarnia Police have arrested and charged three adults and seized a significant amount of Fentanyl.


On July 8th, 2020, just prior to 8 pm, the Sarnia Police Vice Unit executed a search warrant in the 200 block of Elgin Street in Sarnia. Three adults were located inside this residence and placed under arrest for Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking.


As a result of this search, police seized 55.77 grams of Fentanyl with a street value of $28,000 along with $3865 in cash in addition to digital scales and packaging (see picture below).


The following individuals have been charged in this matter:

33-year-old Steven Thomas Tasker of Sarnia faces one count of Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking.


22-year-old Ashley Marie Lynn Baxter of Sarnia faces one count of Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking and one count of Failing to Comply with Release Order.


37-year-old Jason James Gordon of Sarnia faces one count of Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking and two counts of failing to comply with Probation.

Steven Tasker and Ashley Baxter were held for bail and remain in custody. Jason Gordon was released on an Officer in Charge Release.
