At approximately 1:00 AM this morning, (October 8, 2020) the Sarnia Police Service responded to a single vehicle collision on Lansdown Avenue South just to the south of Thompson Street.
A vehicle that was traveling southbound on Lansdowne mounted the curb and struck a tree causing significant damage to the vehicle.
The lone occupant of the vehicle, a 48-year-old male driver, was initially transported to the local hospital but later transferred to a London hospital with serious injuries.
Currently, Lansdowne Avenue, between Thompson Street and Confederation Street, remains closed as the Sarnia Police Traffic Unit remain on scene investigating the matter and clear the road of debris.
