Lambton College Extends Remote Delivery to March 7

SARNIA, January 17, 2022 – Lambton College has made the decision to extend the current hybrid learning model for a few more weeks. While it was originally anticipated that students would return to in-class learning as early as January 31, College officials have announced they will be extending the current delivery model until after the Winter Break, which takes place the week of February 24. Students can expect to return to in-person learning beginning on Monday, March 7, 2022. Labs and other practical components that are currently being taught in-person will continue to remain in-person. As the return date approaches, student schedules will be updated with room numbers for any classes expected to be back on campus. Students will receive an email communication notifying them of these changes. All programs previously planned for fully remote delivery will remain fully remote for the remainder of the term. “As we have throughout the pandemic, we are continuing to prioritize the health of our community while also balancing the need to safely provide increased face to face learning opportunities and student experiences for as many students as possible,” says Mary Vaughn, Vice President, Academic at Lambton College. As the College works towards a return to in-person learning opportunities, details regarding service delivery and any changes or updates to protocols will also be communicated with students. All of the College’s COVID-19 protocols have been updated to reflect all current guidelines from the federal and provincial government, public health authorities, and Ministry of Colleges and Universities. Additionally, medical grade masks are now available at College entrances. For more information on protocols and other pandemic-related policies, please visit lambtoncollege.ca.
