On Saturday, January 23, 2021, at approximately 6:20 PM, officers from the Sarnia Police Service, along with Sarnia Fire and Lambton Paramedics, responded to a deceased female located at a residence in the 200 block of Essex Street.
Members of the Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch have since taken over the investigation and are treating it as a homicide. The residence is currently being held as a crime scene as the investigation is still very preliminary.
The Criminal Investigations Branch is asking for members of the public who reside in the neighbourhood surrounding the 200 block of Essex Street and have video surveillance to contact the Sarnia Police Service. Also, if anyone has any information that may assist in this investigation, they are please asked to contact the Sarnia Police Criminal Investigation Branch.
