Significant Drug Bust

The Sarnia Police VICE Unit have made another major drug bust resulting in 2 arrests and over $83,000.00 in total street drugs seized.
On September 2nd, 2020, the Sarnia Police VICE unit continued a Controlled Drug and Substance Act investigation of a 35 year old male from Sarnia. Just prior to 6pm, officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Rosedale and Colborne Road and arrested the accused in his vehicle. Upon his arrest, a small functioning Taser device was located and seized. Minutes later, a drug warrant was then executed at his residence in the 1000 block of Briarfield Avenue. A subsequent search was then conducted on a storage unit being utilized by the accused in the 1200 block of Confederation Street.
After searching the accused’s vehicle, residence and storage unit, officers located and seized a combined total of:
156.87 grams (5.6 ounces) of Fentanyl with a street value of $78,435.00
44.7 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine with a street value of $4,470.00
4.2 grams of Cocaine with a street value of $504.00
$360.00 cash
The total street value of drugs seized in this case was $83,409.00.
Upon executing the warrant, officers located a 38 year old male at the residence who was also placed under arrest for drug offences. Sadly, two young children were also present in this residence and have since been placed in their mother’s care through the assistance of the Children’s Aid Society.
Thirty-five year old Raymond Robert Stanley Francis Hamilton of Sarnia has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Controlled Substance: Cocaine and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.
Thirty-eight year old Gerald Vaughn George of Sarnia has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance: Fentanyl and Breach of Probation. Both men were held for bail hearings this morning.
