Suspect Wanted In Regards to Early Morning Stabbing
Early this morning, January 26, 2021, at approximately 12:35 AM, Sarnia Police Service officers responded to a call regarding an assault that took place at a residence in the 200 block of Davis Street.
Upon arrival officers located a male victim, 57 years of age, who had been stabbed. Lambton Paramedics attended and transported the victim to hospital but due to the serious nature of the injuries the victim was then transported to a London hospital for further treatment where he remains.
As officers continued their investigation the suspect was determined to be Lindsay Rene Smith, 41 years of age, of no fixed address. Smith is now wanted on an outstanding warrant for:
One count of assault with a weapon
One count of assault causing bodily harm
We ask that if anyone has any information of where Lindsay Rene Smith can be located that they call the Sarnia Police Service at 519-344-8861, extension 0, or Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
We are also asking the public not to approach Lindsay Rene Smith, if located, as she is believed to be in possession of weapons and maybe dangerous.
