Talfourd Street Disturbance

On March 4, 2021, at approximately 9:10 AM, Sarnia Police responded to a disturbance at an address in the 400 block of Talfourd Street.

Upon arriving, officers located a number of individuals within the residence, one being a 49-year-old female who had appeared to have sustained non-life threatening injuries consistent with being attacked with a sharp edged weapon. The 49-year-old female was transported to hospital for medical attention by ambulance. A second female, 38 years of age, was also assaulted but did not sustain any serious injuries and did not require further medical attention.

It was determined, after investigating the incident further, that both victims were assaulted by 30-year-old Jordan Christopher Moore, of Sarnia, over an allegation of property that was missing from Moore. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident and is facing one count of assault with a weapon and one count of assault causing bodily harm.

The residence on Talfourd Street was held by police for a number of hours while officers executed a search warrant of the home regarding evidence related to the incident.

Moore has currently been remanded into custody pending a bail hearing. The 49-year-old female has since been released from hospital.
