Tourism Sarnia-Lambton to Host Southern Ontario Tourism Conference in 2024



Point Edward, ON In a continued collaborative partnership, The Southwest Ontario Tourism Corporation (Regional Tourism Organization 1) and The Hamilton Brant Regional Tourism Association (Regional Tourism Organization 3) will together welcome hundreds of tourism stakeholders from across Southern Ontario to Sarnia-Lambton for the 2024 Southern Ontario Tourism Conference, taking place from March 4-6.

“Sarnia-Lambton offers visitors a rich variety of entertainment, adventures, pristine lake and river views and a wellspring of natural beauty and discoveries”, said Mark Perrin, Executive Director for Tourism Sarnia-Lambton. “Tourism Sarnia-Lambton is very excited to be hosting this incredible conference, as the Southern Ontario Tourism Conference provides an amazing opportunity to welcome our Tourism and Economic leaders, partners, and stakeholders, as we showcase all that Sarnia-Lambton has to offer”.

“In Ontario the tourism industry generates an annual economic revenue of $36B, employing nearly 27,000 across our two regions alone,” says Joanne Wolnik, Executive Director of Southwest Ontario Tourism Corporation. “

“The Southern Ontario Tourism Conference addresses key issues and opportunities that Ontario’s tourism industry is currently facing,” explained Maria Fortunato, Executive Director of The Hamilton Brant Regional Tourism Association.

The Southern Ontario Tourism Conference is open to all individuals directly involved or interested in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry. These include but are not limited to: stakeholders of the Tourism Industry, business owners & employees, investors, college and university students, industry consultants, Municipal & Provincial Government officials and more.

This conference is designed to support the industry’s growth sustainably to become stronger than ever by providing opportunities for knowledge sharing and to learn new skills from tourism experts & trailblazers, connect with industry peers to develop partnerships, and create inspiration through a shared vision for the future of tourism in Southern Ontario.
