Two in Custody For Trafficking Fentanyl

The Sarnia Police Service VICE Unit recently entered into a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation involving individuals that were trafficking fentanyl from a north end Sarnia motel room.
On July 16, 2020, at approximately 9:15 PM, members of the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit, with assistance from Uniform officers, executed a search warrant on the motel room in question.
Upon entering the room officers located two suspects which were taken into custody. Officers also located approximately 15.38 grams of fentanyl, $2225 in Canadian currency, and other paraphernalia.
Amanda Catherine Gibson, 33 years of age, and Anthony Charles Cowling, 27 years of age, both of Sarnia, have been charged with Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Both have been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
