United Way Compassion Fund Supports North Lambton Community Health Centre

The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton Board of Directors has approved emergency grants from the Compassion Fund totaling $50,000 to ten local agencies. “Each agency that has come to us is working to provide fundamental services to those most in need in our community,” said President Jason Killingsworth. “An increase in people who need assistance has organizations working in overdrive and it is our hope that these emergency funds can see their vital work continue. As we see the donations come in each day, we are very thankful to every person and business who has chosen to donate to this fund.” North Lambton Community Health Centre is the tenth recipient to receive a grant from the COVID-19 Compassion Fund. North Lambton Community Health Centre - $5,000 The North Lambton Community Health Centre provides primary healthcare, health promotion and community development services to a priority population that includes seniors, First Nations people, mentally ill, low income families, and youth at risk. Funds will be used to assist clients and seniors who may have mental illness or vulnerable health with food, personal and cleaning supplies, and transportation. The Compassion Fund is comprised of community donations from those who want to help our most vulnerable in the wake of COVID-19.
