Update Regarding Motor Vehicle Collision at Lakeshore and Christina Street

On August 29, 2020, at approximately 6:40 PM, police responded to a collision in the area of Christina Street and Michigan Avenue involving two motor vehicles. Upon arrival the officers observed that one of the involved vehicles had left the scene but within a short period of time a second transmission came through that a vehicle had struck a house in the area of Christina Street and Lakeshore Road. No one was injured in the first collision.


Upon arriving on scene officers observed a vehicle that was partially on the roof of a residence and that also struck a vehicle parked in the driveway.

Sarnia Fire and Lambton Paramedics attended the scene and were able to remove the driver from the car who was subsequently transported to hospital with unknown injuries but has since been released.




The Sarnia Police Service Traffic Unit and Forensic Identification Branch attended the scene to investigate the matter.


Fortunately, no one at the home sustained any injuries but the property damage was extensive.


We are asking for the public’s assistance in this matter with any information regarding either collision (Michigan and Christina or Lakeshore and Christina). Police are also hoping that if anyone has any video surveillance from August 29, 2020, between the hours of 6:30 PM and 7:00 PM, along Christina Street between Michigan Avenue and Lakeshore Road, to contact Constable Ron Szabo at 519-344-8861, extension 6127.

The investigation is still ongoing.
