Valuable Tools Stolen from Habitat for Humanity


A 21 year old male from Sarnia has been arrested for Theft Over $5000.00 and is now wanted for Breach of Undertaking.


On April 20th, 2020 just prior to 2am, an unknown male along with the accused in this matter, drove a vehicle to the rear compound of the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store located on London Line. At this time they entered a locked storage trailer and stole approximately $5000 worth of DeWalt power tools. They also stole a DeWalt tool box containing various smaller tools.


A Sarnia Police Service officer was able to identify one of the males in the surveillance video. This male was the passenger in the vehicle wearing red track pants with a noticeable limp. The driver remains unknown at this time.

On April 21st, 2020 Sarnia Police located and arrested Joseph Austin Boose for Theft Over $5000.00. He was released on an Undertaking with conditions which he has since breached and now faces further charges. A warrant has been issued for Joseph Austin Boose for two counts of Failing to Comply with Undertaking. The investigation in relation to the break in at Habitat for Humanity is continuing.
