Violent Incident

On September 10, 2020, at approximately 11:50 PM, three acquaintances were together at an apartment in the 800 block of London Road. During their evening together one of the three people present allegedly became upset and began to strike another. That victim ran to another room where the third person was already present and locked the door behind them to avoid further confrontation. Shortly thereafter the suspect left the apartment at which point the two individuals that were in the room were able to lock the main door to the unit. The suspect returned and began banging on the main door of the unit. Out of concern that the door would be broken down they opened the door.
Once the suspect re-entered the unit one of the victims was allegedly struck in the face and then the suspect pulled out a knife and attempted to stab that person and threatened to kill them. Fortunately, both victims avoided further injuries and the suspect left the apartment and the building. As the suspect was leaving the building it is believed that they pulled the fire alarm to the building. The victims also came to realize that the suspect caused significant damage to property in the apartment and had also stolen property.
At approximately 1:15 AM an officer in the area of Indian Road and Churchill Road came across the suspect and made an attempt to arrest her. The suspect began fighting with the officer and continued to fight with several other officers who attended to assist. During the struggle the suspect bit two of the officers. The suspect was finally taken into custody and is being held for a bail hearing.
